The 2(X)IST Men’s Essential Cotton Y-Back Thong was one of the first men’s thongs I ever purchased, and I’m glad to see that many years later, it’s still in the 2(X)IST product line in a very reasonably priced 2-pack, and with some improvements as well. Ranging from $19.24 to $34.00 for a 3-pack, this men’s thong is one of the best values on the market now, especially for someone considering wearing a thong for the first time, or even for a veteran thong wearer looking to add some additional pairs to their underwear drawer.
Thong Specs
The 2(X)IST Men’s Essential Cotton Y-Back Thong is made from an extremely soft 100% cotton. It features an elastic waistband and a contoured front pouch with a y-shaped thong in the back (more on that later). Most men’s thongs these days are made from a cotton blend, making this option from 2(X)IST a rare stand-out among today’s men’s thong offerings.
Thong Comfort
This has always been one of the more comfortable men’s thongs on the market due to the soft cotton material and the minimal thong back. The 2(X)IST Men’s Essential Cotton Y-Back Thong features a unique design with its Y-Back.
This Y-Back design provides a unique aesthetic look, but also serves a more practical purpose. The Y-Back provides additional support for the front pouch, which helps to provide additional support for the front package, thus making the 2(X)IST Men’s Essential Y-Back Thong an ideal choice for working out or running.
The one criticism I’d had for this thong is that depending upon the fit of the wearer, the interface between where the thong meets the bottom of the pouch can sometimes chafe against the perineum if the fit is a little bit off. I wouldn’t necessarily count this as a strike against this thong since this is heavily dependent upon how it fits on any particular wearer, and is easily addressed with a minor adjustment.
Thong Style
I personally like the minimal style of the 2(X)IST Men’s Essential Cotton Thong. It mimics the look of a jockstrap combined with a g-string, but in the more daring and sexy style of a thong. Aesthetically, I’m not a huge fan of the look of the Y-Back, but I appreciate the unique design and the way it helps to support the front pouch, distributing the weight more evenly than in a traditional g-string. I also appreciate the conservative look of this thong. I’m not a huge fan of very daring thong styles, except for in the bedroom. I prefer a simple, conservative, athletic, and sporty look on my thongs, though I also acknowledge that this is mostly a personal preference.
Summary
The 2(X)IST Men’s Essential Cotton Y-Back Thong is a great staple for any men’s thong collection thanks to its comfort level, durability, support, and especially the excellent value it offers when purchased in a 3-pack. This is a great thong to purchase in order to have additional pairs on hand for working out or simply as an everyday thong. This 3-pack should be in everyone’s underwear drawer (and on their body as well).
