For years, I’d occasionally wear thongs here and there, usually when I wanted something that felt especially sexy or freeing. But I had never committed to wearing one full-time. So eventually, I decided to try an experiment: wear a thong 24/7 for an entire month and see what happened.
That meant sleeping in thongs, working in thongs, relaxing in thongs, and generally making them my default underwear for daily life.
To make the experiment fair, I rotated between a few different styles that I already knew I enjoyed:
During the day, I’d also frequently wear the Jockey Microfiber Thong for everyday comfort.
By the end of the month, I was honestly surprised by how normal and comfortable thong underwear had become.
The Experiment Started at Night
My wife already loves sleeping next to me when I’m wearing a thong, so starting the experiment with sleep felt natural.
The first thing I noticed was how surprisingly comfortable it was to sleep in one. In some ways, it felt like the closest thing to sleeping naked, except better supported.
With boxer briefs or loose underwear, things can sometimes shift around at night, especially if you roll into an awkward sleeping position. But with a good thong, everything stayed comfortably supported in front without feeling compressed or crushed.
That combination of freedom and support was something I adapted to much faster than I expected.
You Stop Noticing the Back Strap Surprisingly Fast
This is probably the biggest question most men have before trying thongs full-time. And to be honest, after a very short adjustment period, I barely noticed the back strap at all.
At first, you’re obviously aware that there’s less fabric than traditional underwear. But after a few days, my brain basically filtered it out completely. Whether I was sleeping, walking around the house, working, or running errands, the thong simply started to feel normal.
That was especially true with softer styles like the HOM Freddy G-String and the Doreanse Hang Loose Thong, both of which use incredibly soft material and provide excellent front support.
Boxer Briefs Started Feeling Restrictive
This was one of the most unexpected parts of the experiment. About halfway through the month, I put on a pair of boxer briefs out of habit and immediately noticed how restrictive they suddenly felt. Instead of feeling secure and comfortable, they felt bulky as there was simply too much fabric.
After getting used to the freedom of a thong, boxer briefs started feeling like they limited movement more than I had realized before. The extra material around the thighs and backside suddenly felt unnecessary.
I never expected my perspective on traditional underwear to shift that dramatically.
Wearing a Thong Started Feeling Like the Comfortable Default
By the end of the month, wearing a thong no longer felt like a novelty or something “special.” It simply felt normal. More than that, wearing a thong felt like my preferred default.
One thing I found especially interesting was that even thongs I used to consider “less comfortable” started feeling much better after wearing thongs consistently for weeks.
It made me realize that a lot of thong comfort is simply adaptation. Once your body and mind get used to the fit and feel, many styles become dramatically easier to wear.
There’s Also a Confidence Factor
Comfort wasn’t the only thing that changed. There’s something psychologically different about wearing underwear that makes you feel sexy all day long. Even when nobody else sees it, you know you’re wearing it. And in my case, my wife definitely noticed too.
I genuinely enjoyed catching her checking me out whenever I’d walk around the bedroom wearing nothing but a thong. That added an extra level of confidence and fun to the entire experience.
It’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it yourself, but wearing underwear that makes you feel attractive can subtly change your mood and confidence throughout the day.
So…Would I Keep Wearing Thongs Full-Time?
After 30 days, my answer is honestly yes, at least most of the time. The biggest surprise wasn’t that thongs could be comfortable. I already suspected that. The surprise was how quickly they became my new normal.
Sleeping felt great, daily wear felt natural, and traditional underwear started feeling overly bulky. And the overall comfort and freedom became difficult to ignore.
If you’ve been curious about trying thongs more consistently, my biggest takeaway is this:
There’s a very good chance the “adjustment period” is much shorter than you think. Once you get used to the feeling, wearing a thong can start to feel less like a daring choice and more like the most comfortable option in your drawer.
Final Thoughts
Going into this experiment, I expected the experience to feel interesting or maybe even a little adventurous. What I didn’t expect was how easy the transition would be.
By the end of the month, wearing a thong 24/7 no longer felt unusual at all. It simply felt comfortable, supportive, freeing, and honestly… hard to give up.
And now when I reach into my underwear drawer, the thong is usually the first thing I grab.
